Torbays Got Talent
"Torbay's Got Talent"- Now in its second year offers a unique prize to its winner, a contract to appear at the Babbacombe Theatre, Torquay as well as (if over 16*) win £500 and the chance to represent Torbay in the National Final for Search for A Star where there is the chance to win £3000 in Margate on Saturday 22nd November.
The competition is open to professional artists as well as amateurs and aspiring performers whether they are singers, dancers, comedians, impressionists, jugglers, magicians, contortionists, acrobats, escapologists, musicians, animal acts and ventriloquists. They can be a solo act, double act, trio, quartet, or part of a choir, in fact anyone who can entertain, win the judges over and get the audience vote to secure a place in the final, could take away the coveted prize.
We are looking for acts of all ages, styles and genres. If you or you know of anyone who would benefit from winning this contract and opportunity and you think you have what it takes to fill a theatre, please complete and submit an entry form.
Torbay's Got Talent is sponsored by the Torbay Development Agency, 96.4 Gemini FM and the Herald Express, judges from each organisation along with Colin Matthews the Producer and Director for the Babbacombe Theatre, will judge the heats as well as the final.
Heats will take place on Friday Evenings during September at the Babbacombe Theatre, with the final being held Friday 3rd October 2008.
