What is England’s Seafood Coast?
There’s nothing better than refreshing after a long walk with freshly prepared, delicious food. And seafood lovers are in luck! The English Riviera is known as England’s Seafood Coast for the finest quality seafood landed locally in the fishing town of Brixham.
A fleet of 70 fishing boats land over 40 varieties of world-class fresh fish and seafood. The fish is caught early in the morning and served on your plate in award-winning eateries around the English Riviera the very same day – you can’t get any fresher than that!
Should I visit the English Riviera in Autumn and Winter?
The shelter provided by towering Dartmoor to the northwest means that this part of South Devon benefits from a milder microclimate. This makes the English Riviera unique as generally you can expect better weather all year round here on Devon’s Beautiful Bay.
As the many summer visitors head home, the beaches take on a wild beauty, the leaves change into their glorious jewel-like colours, and our cosy pubs and restaurants offer snug shelter from the weather.
