The English Riviera is home to the world-famous Brixham Fish Market which operates every morning and auctions off fresh fish which is landed at Brixham Harbour. Its the biggest and most diverse fishing port in England, catching approximately 40 different fish species every year.
Now home to England's Seafood FEAST, which is a two-week celebration of locally caught seafood. The English Riviera is a true seafood destination for anyone looking to explore high quality and fresh seafood prepared by some of the UK's best and emerging chefs. Fresh fish from Brixham Harbour is landed, auctioned and distributed to restaurants across Paignton, Brixham and Torquay on the same day. Restaurants are serving up everything from traditional fish and chips to pan fried seabass and whole Dover sole.
There are an array of restaurants to enjoy seafood, from The Elephant in Torquay ran by Michelin-starred chef Simon Hulstone, through to smaller beach eateries such as Cantina in Goodrington, Paignton.
