The Wetwheels experience is designed to enable every person with disabilities; both physical and complex to experience the excitement of boating. Wetwheel boats are completely accessible to wheelchairs and our experiences even allow a taste of driving the boat!
As a non profit organisation we rely heavily on grants and donations to cover our running costs as well as volunteers to assist in the day to day running.
Manor House – Accessible toilets are available Assistant dogs are welcome.
Play area – The Ark is specifically designed to be used by children with and without a disability. A Large Print Guide is available for those with sight impairment like Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration. They also have a BSL guide for Deaf British Sign Language users (on a tablet they can take around on the tour) and an online Visual Guide.
The RICC is a modern purpose built conference and events complex that offers complete peace of mind when it comes to accessibility.
*Ample disabled parking with up to eight dedicated spaces closely located to the main entrance - more can be arranged prior to events and conferences if required
*Throughout the centre, there are wide easy access through doors (minimum 800mm), as well as ramps to adapted entrances and a selection of push button power assisted doors
The museum is fully accessible for visitors with mobility problems.
Visitors with visual impairment: The Time Ark Gallery of Natural History has many items that can be handled. The museum has one parking space that can be reserved.
There is level access to the undercrofts, visitor entrance and cafe and ample disabled toilets. A glass lift takes visitors to most other areas of the attraction including the galleries. Limited Disabled Parking Spaces are available within the grounds. A Visual Guide is available for Torre Abbey, designed to prepare for your visit

Please note: when you visit, you are welcome to have a look first, or if you buy tickets and then experience difficulties the Model Village are happy to offer an appropriate refund within a reasonable time frame.
The underground system is relatively flat with only 9 steps. Access for wheelchair users is restricted to the first chamber. Kents Cavern now has an easy read guide for people with learning difficulties, an online Visual Guide to help autistic people and those with complex needs plan their trip, a large print guide with information on the exhibition for those with sight impairment like Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration and a Deaf BSL tour.

Registered Blind and wheelchair/disability scooter users travel free. Manual wheelchair helpers also travel free.
There are ramps for wheelchair access onto each train in service.

Accessibility is good with designated blue badge parking spaces, level access to Occombe Farm Café and reception buildings, from the large, main car park. There is a mix of gravel, laid paths and boardwalk throughout the site.
Level access to the club, toilets and refreshments. Deaf, blind and visually impaired needs are catered for.
