About
A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at Bentley Lodge, where excellent quality and service is assured. You can relax in comfortable surroundings and, on those warmer sunny days, enjoy our beautiful garden. There is easy access private parking and we are a short drive or a level walk from the sea front and Riviera International Conference Centre. We are flat 15 minute walk to Torre Abbey and the beautiful promenade and stunning sea views. The marina is further round with lovely bars and restaurants, where on a lovely day you can just outside and enjoy the English Riviera at its best. We are a short walk to Torre Station and Torquay station is an approx 20 mins flat walk away.
A beautiful house that was built around 1900 and has been lovingly cared for. Your hosts at Bentley Lodge are Richard and Debbie, they offer a genuine, warm and friendly welcome along with stylish, comfortable en-suite bedrooms and a freshly cooked breakfast with a choice of menus and lighter alternatives, using local produce wherever possible.
The 5 delightful en suite bedrooms (4 on the first floor and 1 on the ground floor) are all furnished to a high standard and offer smart TVs with Netflix, 24L silent fridges, fresh filtered water, Alexa, hairdryer, central heating, complimentary hospitality tray and toiletries in the bathrooms.
The dining room is bright and sunny with a large bay window that overlooks the garden. Guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast served at their individual tables from 07.30-9.30am.
We have an EV charger available for guests to use during their stay.
On those warmer summer mornings breakfast may also be served on the new decking.
We look forward to seeing you at Bentley Lodge.
Torquay - designated UNESCO Global Geopark and England’s Seafood Coast
Torquay is part of the English Riviera's designated UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Global Geopark, meaning it marks single, unified geographical areas where sites and landscapes of international geological significance are managed with a holistic concept of protection, education and sustainable development. With its spectacular coastline and outstanding natural beauty, you can see why it received such accreditation. Torquay is also a real Devon foodie town, part of England’s Seafood Coast with a delicious selection of the freshest fish and seafood on offer from the nearby fish market. There are eateries galore and even a top Michelin star restaurant, The Elephant. Live music brings the delightful harbourside to life on warm summer evenings where there are many places to eat and drink al fresco, but many a cosy pub and eatery to enjoy in the cooler months too. Why not plan a breathtaking walk along England’s Seafood Coast? Click here for some information and inspiration.
