Jacaranda Guest House is a small, friendly guest house with 8 guest bedrooms, located in Paignton and central to all amenities that you would expect from a top seaside resort. It is approximately 300m (0.3 miles) from Paignton sea front and close to the town centre, shops, restaurants, pubs and bus and train stations (0.6 miles).

All our guest rooms have comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, hand and bath towels and shower mats. Iron and ironing boards are available upon request and for families with young children and babies we can provide a cot and high chair. All our guest rooms have modern décor, up-to-date furnishings and central heating. Extra pillows and throws can also be provided. Our prices include a delicious full English breakfast or lighter alternative, and we are able to cater for vegetarians. Whether you wish to stay for a short break or longer holiday we will endeavour to make visit as comfortable and enjoyable as we can.

We have one single bedroom that has a separate private bathroom, located down the hallway, and all our other rooms have en-suite bathrooms. We have four bedrooms located on the first floor which are standard double, king size, a child-friendly family room and a single room with a private bathroom. We have four rooms located on the second floor which are 2 singles, a small double (a full-sized double bed in a small room) and 2 child-friendly family rooms.

There is a pleasant outdoor terrace area where you can sit and enjoy a drink or takeaway whilst taking in the delightful Mediterranean-style climate. 

For guests who are celebrating a special occasion we can offer flowers, champagne or wine delivered to your room, for an additional cost. A range of refreshments and snacks including sandwiches and toasties can be ordered and delivered to your room.

The Vue, a multiplex cinema on Paignton sea front (0.3 miles) and Palace Theatre in the town centre (0.9 miles) provide plenty of evening entertainment for all the family and are just a short walk from Jacaranda Guest House. There are many things to do in Paignton for all ages including Paignton Pier; Paignton Harbour (0.7 miles) for crabbing and fishing trips; Pirates Bay Adventure Golf; and countless amusement arcades, popular bars, restaurants, beach shops and waterfront kiosks for ice-creams and other seaside treats.  Why not go for a day out on the Dartmouth Steam train, which leaves from Paignton station (0.2 miles) and travels along the English Riviera coast towards Agatha Christie’s holiday home at Greenway House (4.7 miles), beside the River Dart and arriving at the hillside town of Kingswear (7.6 miles). Paignton Zoo (1.3 miles) and Splashdown Quaywest water park (1 mile) are close by or you could always take a short bus ride to the neighbouring town of Torquay (3.6 miles) to visit Kents Cavern (4.6 miles), and Babbacombe Model Village (4.8 miles).

Keen walkers and ramblers will enjoy discovering the famous South West Coast Path and the 22 miles of the English Riviera which forms part of the UNESCO Global Geopark, one of only 7 geoparks in the UK and 140 in the whole world!

For guests arriving by car, street parking is restricted between May and October, however there is a pay and display multi-storey car park at the end of the road. Cheaper alternative parking may also be available and we can assist you with this if you call in advance. We can assist you with purchasing 3-day and 7-day parking permits for Torbay Council operated car parks to make your stay on the English Riviera as convenient and enjoyable as possible.
