If you’re looking to stay somewhere a little different, yet close to the beach, amazing bars, restaurants, Theatre, harbour and conference centre.  Then the Southbank Townhouse is right for you.  We are a large fully licenced traditional Victorian Villa where we try to maintain the charm, style and character of the Victorian age, incorporating colonial style shutters, vintage and modern style rooms with historical and local points of interest and artifacts dotted around the building, yet still  maintaining our adult only ethos.

We are Located in central Torquay just Walking distance to Torre Abbey, Princess theatre the Riviera centre, harbour and gardens and only 500 metres walk to Torbay’s largest beach.

The Princess Theatre is just 10 minutes’ walk from us, you may even find yourself sharing breakfast with our many theatre goers, staff or performers of the stage.

We are just 400 metres from the Riviera International Conference Centre, we are especially well located for those guests attending one of the many conferences, events or seminars. And for those of you solely here on business, free Wi-Fi is available throughout, along with a cosy relaxing library for working in or a glass of wine on the charming sun trapped terrace, surrounded by sub-tropical trees, great for people watching if you prefer.  Our licensed bar offers a range of local bottled ales and cider, lagers, a selection of wines and popular spirits. Teas, coffees and soft drinks are, of course, also available. 

The Southbank Townhouse is a family run guest house run by Danny, Dolores and our daughter Hannah.

We believe that high standards and a good quality product at a reasonable price is the essence to a good night’s stay at our guesthouse. Our breakfasts are freshly cooked using local produce where possible where we can meet your dietary needs and menu preferences.

We want your stay at Southbank to be as comfortable as possible with a good night’s sleep and a great breakfast, whether you are spending 10 days or 1 night with us, we guarantee the same full service for all our guests.
