The St. Weonards is a family run Bed and Breakfast situated on the level in the heart of Paignton, we are dog and family friendly and pride ourselves on delivering old fashioned hospitality with modern attitude. We pride ourselves on delivering a warm welcome and personal service to ensure that you enjoy your time with us and make the most of your stay on the English Riviera.

We are close to the beach and the town centre making accessing the town and The Bay easy on foot or by public transport. If you arriving by public transport we are a short walk from both the train and coach stations. If you are arriving by car we have two parking spaces and offer discounted parking passes to a local car park should these not be available. We offer free parking to all our guests who book with us direct!

We offer seven comfortable and well equipped guest rooms including family, twin, double and single options. Each comes with tea/coffee making facilities, Freeview TV, complimentary toiletries, Bluetooth docking station, hairdryer and iron/ironing board - we also have travel cot and high chair available. We offer free WiFi throughout the building. 

Our popular breakfasts are served in the spacious dining room and we offer a choice of Full English hot breakfast with vegetarian and vegan options, and continental breakfast with juice, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and toast. We also offer delicious alternatives such as French Toast, omelettes or dippy egg and soldiers! We cater for special dietary requirements and offer evening meals on request. 

For a relaxing holiday why not spend time on Paignton Sands, an award-winning English Riviera beach or go crabbing in the working harbour where you can also hire a boat for a fishing or sightseeing trip.

There’s plenty of outdoor fun to keep the children entertained at the Geoplay Park and Pirates Bay Adventure Golf on Paignton Green; Splashdown Quaywest, an adventure water park with thrilling rides at Goodrington and Paignton Zoo, one of the country’s leading animal conservation parks and top visitor attractions. For adults Torbay Bowling club and Paignton Cricket and Rugby Club at Queens Park is nearby. 

Paignton Green and Paignton Esplanade host a number of major annual events each year including English Riviera Air Show, Riviera Classic Car Show, Paignton Festival, Paignton Regatta and Children’s Week as well as touring fun fairs and a travelling circus. Paignton Pier, amusement arcades, Pirates Adventure Golf and a multiplex cinema provide everything that you would expect from a top seaside destination.

A very popular trip with holiday visitors is a nostalgic ride on a steam train with Dartmouth Steam Railway starting from Paignton station  and travelling along the English Riviera coast to Kingswear and onwards by ferry to Dartmouth. The main coast road links Paignton to Torquay and Brixham its English Riviera neighbours but you can also explore using the local bus routes or the local ferry services which are a great way to see the area.

There are a great selection of places to eat and drink in and around Paignton including many dog friendly establishments. Enjoy seaside treats like fish and chips, spoil yourself with traditional Thai or Indian meals or enjoy a fabulous steak - we can let you know all our favourites!

We are open all year-round and out of season we are able to offer the entire house for exclusive use for family getaways, birthday celebrations or for group visits.
