The Elmdene is Visit England 5 star gold rated accommodation and has received a bed and breakfast award here at our beautiful guesthouse. We take pride in offering all our guests a high standard of pristine accommodation and have been awarded certificates of excellence for 2018, 2019 and 2020 from Trip Advisor and we were awarded 2020 Travellers award.

The Elmdene is perfectly situated to explore the English Riviera and its surroundings. We have a bus stop 50 metres from the front of the building and are on a level, just 300 metres from Torquays beach and railway station, and 250 metres from the Riviera conference centre, and also just a short walk from Torquay town centre, theatre and harbour.

Despite our close proximity to amenities, the Elmdene is set in a quiet and peaceful location on a tree-lined road with a lawn garden to the front and has a large car park allowing ample parking for guests. The front of the building overlooks a large park. The Elmdene has 7 beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms and has a comfortable sun lounge and tv lounge with a well-stocked honesty bar and also free wifi.

Breakfast is served at individual tables, in our elegant Victorian dining room. We offer a varied selection of cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit and a freshly cooked English breakfast to order or lighter options of your choice. We aim to ensure your stay with us is relaxed and a happy one and for your comfort, we are dog and childfree.
