About
The Purple Tree Guest House is a large, extended Victorian house situated 15 minutes’ walk from the seafront and Torquay town centre. A free full breakfast & buffet is offered along with free Wi-Fi, free private parking which is on a first come first served basis or on-street parking available. It is a great place to leave the car and explore the English Riviera and South Devon on foot or by using the public transport.
A range of elegant en-suite rooms to suit families, couples and singles all with Smart TV and complimentary refreshment tray & toiletries. Superior rooms equipped with a small fridge.
We welcome children and well-behaved dogs, as we are dog owners ourselves. We offer quality accommodation that is clean, comfortable and creates a relaxing holiday environment for all guests, so we allow a maximum of 2 dogs per room. There is a charge per dog per day and we reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning or where there is damage to the property. The guest house features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool & Hot tub, set in a private garden with a sun terrace to enjoy the lovely Torquay weather. We are fully licensed and have a venue which can be hired for private functions and events.
Torquay is famous for its mild climate and watersports activities. Torre railway station is only 350 yards away from the guest house which give direct access to all the surrounding areas including Torquay Rail Station and the Agatha Christie Mile, the location for a tour of her life and work.
The Purple Tree Guest House and has easy access to The Riviera International Centre, Torre Abbey, the promenade with Princess Theatre, the shops, the Marina with its wide choice of bars and restaurants.
The Purple Tree Guest House provides the ideal base from which to explore the English Riviera and the Devon countryside with so many attractions and places of interest, you are never short of things to do.
