Debbie and Denise welcome you to The Sandpiper Guest House, where we aim to give all our guests a welcoming and comfortable stay in the heart of the English Riviera, in Torquay.

​We are located just a small walk from the Riviera International Centre, Torre Abbey Gardens and the sea front. Our location is perfect for exploring the area with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants all within easy walking distance.

​Over three floors, all of our well-appointed 8 bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, 2 of which are on the ground floor. We also offer 2 family rooms with separate single beds for children, twin rooms, double rooms, super king rooms and a single room. There is free WiFi throughout the building and each room have their own colour TV, hairdryer, fan, tea and coffee making facilities as well as a USB port. 

​The Sandpiper has an elegant ground floor lounge where guests are welcome to relax, read a book or watch TV on the large screen. We also have a cosy cellar bar suitable for pre-theatre drinks or after dinner tipples!

We are well placed for exploring the Torbay area with Torquay town centre and harbour, with lively bars, cafes and restaurants being only 15 minutes walk away. The beautifully manicured Torre Abbey gardens are only a 10 minute walk, with numerous activities to try like Pitch and Putt Golf, Tennis and Bowls. The Riviera Centre is also close to the gardens and contains a swimming pool, restaurants and conference facilities.

For families with children, Torre Abbey Sands is a 10 minute walk and offers a good quality beach with bathing. For the more adventuous Dartmoor is within 20 minutes drive with miles of walks and stunning scenery.

During your stay at the Sandpiper you can be assured of good good and high standards of service to make your stay and enjoyable one.

We have ample parking at the front of the guest house with easy access to the property and can also offer free pickup by prior arrangement from Torquay Railway or Bus Station should you require.
