About
The Westgate is a Visit England assessed 4 star and silver award winning family run accommodation. The Westgate is a beutiful late Victorian villa that retains lots of its period charm. Set in a leafy conservation area near Torre Abbey it has the advantage of its own secure on-site carpark, guests' lounge and bar. It's central for the beach, entertainment and shopping all within easy walking distance or Number 32 bus route from outside the front of the Hotel. Just 5 min walk to Torquay railway station, great for a train trip to the bay or for a day out exploring the area. The Westgate is one of the nearest hotels to the English Riviera Conference & Leisure Centre.
There is a good selection of rooms from a luxury four poster, superkings / twins, 3 person family room, classic doubles, superior singles and a single room, 11 rooms in total of which all are en-suite with either shower or bath and are tastefully decorated & comfortably furnished. Rooms are centrally heated with their own thermostatically controlled radiator. Each room has Freeview TV, Free WiFi, an assortment of teas / coffee beverage trays, & quality toiletries. A double room is avilable on the ground floor with easy access to the dining room, guest lounge and bar area.
A small selection of bar meals / snacks available upon request in the evening depending on the season - please call to to discuss your requirements
Our breakfast selection is wide & varied, we are able to cater for different dietary needs (do call ahead to ensure we are prepared) Our full locally sourced Full English breakfast is served in a spacious bright dining room, located on the ground floor to the front of the house.
