Torbay Inn is a very historic pub of great character and is Paignton's oldest public house dating from the early 1600's. Records show that the English Civil War Hero, General Fairfax stayed here in 1646. The pub has two rooms, a lounge on the left and a public bar on the right with olde worlde décor with old maps paintings and maps on the walls where a choice of beers including local ales and beers are served. If you like traditional old pubs the Torbay Inn is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place, we call it our holiday local as they are very welcoming and always a good drink.

A proper traditional public house, with good beers, a friendly atmosphere and plenty going on. Particularly recommend the Thursday open mic night (an amazing array of local talent) and Sunday's Quiz Night.

The Torbay Inn has 2 separate bars. One a lounge bar which has a TV and a public bar with TV, pool table,fruit machine, dart board and music. It also has a seated smoking area outside,with another TV. A fine selection of real ales is available. On my visit there was Sea Fury ,Tribute and HPA on pump with Jail Ale waiting to settle. The locals are really friendly and the service was second to none. Highly recommended!

As you arrive in the seaside resort of Paignton, you are met with the welcoming sight of its long stretch of beautiful and easily accessible beachfront, promenade, traditional pier, colourful beach huts and green.  What's great about Paignton is that it is a compact resort, with the seafront and town centre shops all within close proximity, making it an ideal Devon holiday resort for that relaxing break away.
