About

Cockington Court is one of Torbay's favourite destinations, combining history with present day through a thriving centre of creativity and a popular programme of events.

The site is a free visitor attraction that cultivates art, culture, local talent and supports small local creative businesses. Set within an award-winning country park, just a mile from the seafront and a stone’s throw from the chocolate box village of Cockington.

Sense the creativity and discover the skills of the makers whilst you watch them create and look around their studios. The businesses who call Cockington Court home, between them offer a diverse mix of craft specialisms meaning there is a lot to explore.

Don’t leave without visiting the onsite galleries where you can pick up some unique handcrafted locally made gifts. The Gallery has a growing reputation in the arts world as a contemporary gallery space of regional significance, having showcased work by artists of international acclaim as well as emerging local talent. Plus, the onsite craft shop is full of gifts, arts and crafts from local makers.

The grade II listed Manor House is free of charge to enter so that it can be enjoyed by everyone. Within the house you will find The Seven Dials Café, offering delicious homemade food, so come along and indulge in a morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea.

Make sure you keep an eye on the vibrant events programme, designed to have something for everyone that will spark curiosity about creativity and culture. Including an annual Sculpture Trail, outdoor theatre performances and special themed events for Easter, summer and Christmas.

There is plenty to see and do at Cockington Court!

Such a beautiful and unique village that is so typically English with thatched roof properties , cute tea rooms and craft shops. It has the most beautiful church and beautifully maintained gardens. Read full review
