About
Finalist in the Friendliest B&B of the year 2019 - 2020 by AA Services
Hotel Peppers is the first Hotel in Babbacombe Road as you leave the Harbour, just 250 metres from the waters edge. We are a 10 en suite bedroom Edwardian family run hotel. Recently refurbished to a high quality modern standard, but still retaining it's original elegant features.
Peppers is close to all of Torquays Restaurtants, Bars and pavement cafes and just 3 minutes walk from the town centre with its many retail outlets and array of coffee shops, with only a 5 minute walk to the Princess Theatre located at the edge of the marina. At Peppers you can expect a very friendly personal service with a excellent full English breakfast.
Also you can relax and enjoy a cool drink on our sun terrace from the honesty bar, just park your car in our on site car park or if its full park in our overflow car park free of charge.
From Peppers you can visit Torquay Museum and the Real Crime Museum, they are all very close to us.
The English Riviera’s stunning landscape has attained designated UNESCO Global Geopark status and there are many breath-taking sights and fascinating key sites to explore. Kents Cavern, one of Europe’s most exciting Stone Age Caves is home to Britain’s earliest humans and Ice Age beasts in Wellswood, Torquay (1.2 miles) and Berry Head National Nature Reserve in Brixham (10 miles) are attractions not to be missed during your stay.
For walkers and ramblers, the quintessentially-English, Cockington Village and Country Park (2.5 miles) is not to be missed as well as the famous South West Coast Path which meanders along 22 miles of the English Riviera’s coastline, with some of the most spectacular views and scenery across South Devon and beyond.
Torquay Harbour is just a short walk away, where you can catch a ferry over to Brixham and enjoy the quaint fishing village or perhaps fish & chips on the quayside.
Outside of Peppers you can catch the number 22 Stagecoach bus to Babbacombe or St Marychurch, where you can visit Babbacombe Model Village, Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Bygones Museum, Babbacombe Theatre, or take a walk along the Babbacombe Downs with the stunning sea views. There are shops, cafes and bars for you to enjoy along the way.
On the opposite side of us you can catch the number 122 Stagecoach bus to Paignton, here you can visit Dartmouth Steam Railway and take the steam train to Kingswear, a stunning coastal ride, a day out at Paignton Zoo or for the adventurous visit our water park Splashdown Quaywest.
Peppers can also cater to all your business needs including free WiFi
