In the English Riviera, South Devon’s stunning bay, the beaches are clean and spectacularly beautiful, some of the best beaches in the country, but there is more than just beaches here.
Agatha Christie was born in the Riviera town of Torquay, and spent many of the most important chapters of her life here, as well as using real places in the area as settings for her murder mysteries. The true story of Agatha Christie’s life is every bit as intriguing and fascinating as her books, and nowhere can you get closer to her legacy than here on the English Riviera.
Take a walk along the South West Coast Path which runs along the entire length of the Jurassic Coast and offers walkers stunning scenery, with a bird’s eye view of many coastal features. From the coast path you can experience the drama of sheer cliff faces, take in the wonderful towns of Beer, the ‘picture postcard’ fishing village, or Budleigh Salterton. Everything you could want is right here on your doorstep. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
