About
Springfield self-catering accommodation is housed within a splendid Victorian villa in the centre of Torquay, one of the three main towns that make up the famous English Riviera. Situated in a quiet elevated location it’s just a short walk to Torquay town (0.6 miles), Torre Abbey Sands and Meadows (1.6 miles) and the palm tree-lined seafront promenade, Princess Gardens and Princess Theatre (1 mile) on Torquay harbourside.
The English Riviera’s 20 top beaches including 10 award winning ones, provide plenty of entertainment for all the family, with clear, shallow waters and safe swimming conditions and beachside kiosks for snacks, drinks and beach equipment to hire.
Newly renovated accommodation in Devon
The Springfield has recently been renovated and now has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a cloakroom with a WC. The spacious surroundings are perfect for a family holiday or a break away with a large group of friends. It’s a child friendly house with a cot and highchair provided, plus a games room with a pool table and table football, and a safe, enclosed outdoor space for playtime.
Luxury self-catering accommodation
Luxury additions such as heated towel rails, underfloor heating, a speciality coffee machine and a hydrotherapy spa create those little touches that make a break away extra special. Enjoy the private and secluded patio area with parasols for a spot of sunbathing or an early evening barbeque. You’ll find plenty of independent shops at Torre (1.1 miles), St Marychurch (2 miles) and Chelston (1.1 miles) selling delicious Devon produce including fresh meats, seafood and locally brewed ciders, beers and speciality gins to give a flavour of the region.
There’s plenty of parking available on site as well as unrestricted free street parking close by.
Explore local cultue in Torquay
If you’re looking for a bit of culture, as the birthplace of Agatha Christie, Torquay has plenty of things to do with a connection to the town’s most famous resident and world-renowned crime writer. Take the Agatha Christie Mile, a self-led walking trail around Torquay, which highlights 12 of the special places that inspired the author and appeared in her popular novels.
Torquay’s newest and trendiest addition, Abbey Crescent (0.6 miles) is a great place to stop for a coffee, light snack, lunch or evening meal with Costa Coffee, Bistrot Pierre, Las Iguanas and Visto Lounge amongst the well-known national brands offering alfresco dining. Most cater for families and large groups.
The English Riviera’s breath-taking landscape has been designated UNESCO Global Geopark status and the 22 miles of coastline really must be seen to believed. If you’re looking for affordable, high quality self-catering accommodation, Springfield is the perfect base to explore the area and to enjoy a holiday in South Devon.
