Starboard has modern, comfortable furnishings and a bright and deceptively spacious interior in a split-level style.  There are 3 guest bedrooms, with one master double and an en-suite, and two twin rooms.  The property sleeps up to 6 people and with 3 bathroom suites, there’s ample space and facilities for the whole family to enjoy. Travel cots and a highchair are available and the twin bedrooms with their comfy single beds and brightly coloured bedding are perfect for children and young adults to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. The family pet dog can come along too. As a dog-friendly resort, visitors to Starboard can bring one dog with them. They must stay on the ground floor level of the accommodation and an additional charge will apply.

There is a charming enclosed patio at the rear of the cottage with patio garden furniture including a sun parasol to enjoy breakfast or an early evening meal alfresco-style. There are patio doors and a balcony area at the front of the property to watch the sun go down and admire the sea views towards Meadfoot and beyond.

Within a 5-minute drive you’ll reach Torquay seafront and Torre Abbey Sands (1.6 miles), a perfect beach spot for families with young children.  The crystal-clear shallow sea water is ideal for paddling and splashing about and the fine sandy beach is clean, safe and especially good for sandcastle building and sunbathing. 100m walk from Torre Abbey Sands there’s an 18-hole jungle themed adventure golf course with life-like animals at Jungle Journey Adventure Golf  to entertain the young ones whilst the grandparents might enjoy a spot of outdoor bowling or game of tennis at Torre Abbey Leisure Park and Golf, Tennis & Bowls Centre, next door.

Other child-friendly attractions in South Devon include Paignton Zoo (5.4 miles), Babbacombe Model Village (2.5 miles), Occombe Farm (4.4 miles) and Paignton’s Geoplay Park (3.9 miles).
