The sun is shining and we are getting ready for the Easter holidays here on the English Riviera. With a number of Easter activities taking place in the Bay that the whole family can enjoy, the English Riviera is the ideal destination to celebrate the school holidays!

Whether you're looking for an Easter Egg hunt or just a fun day out with the family, we've put together some great things to do over Easter in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. There are also lots of events being listed all the time, so please do check out our Monthly Calendar.

So, what's happening on the English Riviera this Easter?

Family friendly Easter egg hunts

One of the quintessential English Easter traditions is the Easter egg hunt. And we've got plenty of those around the Bay!

Make the most of your Easter break with an Easter Trail at Babbacombe Model Village! Hop on over and try and find all of the colourful eggs hidden in and around them miniature gardens. All successful young explorers will be rewarded for completing the trail with an Easter prize.

Take in the views with an Egg Hunt at Coleton Fishacre, where children (and even adults) will be able to follow clues and solve puzzles on the hunt sheet to find their prize. The best part: entry is included in your house and gardens ticket so it won't cost you a penny extra!

Over the Easter holidays, the most adventurous egg hunters will be able to spot glowing eggs, deep in the caves at Kents Cavern! Set off on a quest to find them all, and you might just win yourself a seasonal treat!

Whatever you decide to do, it's certainly going to be one eggcellent day out!

Walking in the fresh spring air

Easter is the perfect time to enjoy a stroll along the South West Coast Path. Trees are blossoming, flowers are blooming and the birds are singing. And with stunning sea views Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, you'll be sure to feel refreshed after a day exploring the English Riviera Global Geopark.

Why not make a day of it and stop off at one of the many cafes or restaurants along the way for top quality food and delicious drinks.

Let's go to the beach

If you're looking for some sun and sea this Easter, head to one of the English Riviera's award-winning beaches. With 22 beaches, you're sure to find something for everyone. Check out our Beaches Guide to find the right one for you.

Goodrington Sands is a long sandy beach, with plenty of space for games, swimming and rock pools. It backs onto Youngs Park with a large grassy area, perfect for a kick around. A visit to Goodrington Sands isn’t complete without a trip to the rock pools, which surround the beach. Kids can spend hours looking for creatures in rock pools or building sandcastles.

Paignton Green is the perfect place for families to sit back and relax. Just a stone's throw away from the seafront, and with a large outdoor play area, little ones can let off some steam and tire themselves out. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and kiosks surrounding the green too, for the adults to recharge.

Don't forget to pack your bucket and spades!

Refresh with water sports

Take a paddle in the sea or grab your paddleboard and soak up the glorious spring sunshine! The English Riviera is one of the UK's best water sports areas, thanks to the safe shallow waters and warm microclimate. During spring we often get beautifully warm days, and many people make the most of it with kayaking, paddleboarding and wild swimming.

With the Easter holidays approaching and spring in full swing, there's never been a better time to visit the English Riviera. Book your accommodation now, and start your holiday today.
