About
A guided trip to our vineyard and back through our winery with tastings along the way.
Our biggest tour offers a full insight into how we produce our award-winning wines, starting in the vineyard and going all the way through to the winery.
On arrival, you'll check-in and meet your guide at our visitor centre before boarding our trailer to head 500m up the road to our main Sandridge Barton vineyard where we'll wander through the vines and pour your first wine whist explaining the unique location of our vineyard, the life cycle of the vine and chat about what stage the vineyard is in at that moment.
We'll then board the trailer once more and head back to the winery where we'll explain the winemaking and the equipment involved in the process and taste two more wines.
Finally, we'll head to our 'Vine Room' where we will taste our final wine along with some local cheese and charcuterie.
Well behaved dogs on lead are welcome on the tour, and we recommend suitable footwear as most of the tour takes place on foot and there will be some waling over uneven vineyard terrain.

About Sandrige Barton
Award-winning English wines from the heart of the Dart Valley, carefully crafted for over 40 years.
Nestled in a picturesque valley in the South Hams, Sandridge Barton Wines may appear to be a new face on the UK wine scene, but our Devon-based vineyards and winery have been growing grapes and making wine since 1981. Producing over 80 tonnes of fruit per year from our current 32-acre vineyards. Set in a south-facing bowl and overlooking the River Dart, our vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Madeleine Angevine, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.
A unique marriage of climate, soil and grape varieties, combined with our meticulous care, experience and winemaking skills, make us one of the foremost wine producers within the UK. The new state-of-the-art winery and visitor centre have been designed with sustainability in mind, using solar panels, rainwater harvesting, air-source heat pumps and spring water extraction to reduce our carbon footprint.
Complete your day out by booking into our restaurant, Circa, for lunch or Friday evening dinner.
Open for lunch and on Friday evenings, Circa at Sandridge Barton is all about sharing and showcasing the best sustainable produce from the estate and local area. A place to relax and unwind, sit back and enjoy some wonderful food paired with a lovely glass of wine, grown only a stone’s throw away.
