About
THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE ENGLISH RIVIERA WALKING FESTIVAL
Walking and wine tasting – what’s not to like?
Our walking tour begins at Sandridge Barton Wines, nestled in a picturesque valley in the South Hams, producing over 120 tonnes of fruit per year from their 42-acre vineyards. From here, we meander through the narrow lanes to the picture-postcard village of Stoke Gabriel, located on the banks of the River Dart. We return to the vineyard to enjoy their mouth watering lunch. Afterwards, you’ll be taken on a guided wine tasting tour of their winemaking facilities, whilst sampling local Devon cheeses and of course, wine!
Visit Stoke Gabriel village church which dates back to 1085
Walk backwards around its 1000 year old Yew tree 7 times and make a wish!
Take time to admire the breath-taking views across the River Dart
Gain a real insight into the production processes behind Sandridge Barton’s exquisite wines
Enjoy an informative 3 wine and cheese tasting experience.
