We are very excited to announce that Ambrosian Strings will be performing Haydn's profoundly emotional music – his response to Christ's 7 last words on the cross – at St Mary the Virgin Church in St Marychurch on 15th April.
Internationally acclaimed Artist, Sarah Beckett's work (7 pictures, inspired by Haydn's music) will be displayed on the 85-inch screens throughout the church.
The music will be interjected by readings from Mark Strand's Poem "After the Seven Last Words".
