Formed this year to play the music of the late great saxophonist, John Coltrane, this band has received plaudits at clubs in Ashburton and North Devon and we are pleased to present them in Torquay this summer.

About the band

Harry Dowell is an exciting young saxophone player based in Exeter and making a splash on the Devon scene. Harry studied music at Bristol university and specialised in jazz performance on both tenor sax and flute. His biggest influence is John Coltrane and you can hear this in the intensity he brings to his playing, and also in the sheer complexity of his melodic lines, which nonetheless convey the core message and soul of the music. Last year Harry completed a tour with hit jazz funk band "Lack of Afro". Recently featured at the Sidmouth International Jazz and Blues Festival, Harry has played at many of the Liquid Spirit jam sessions and is making a splash on the Devon scene.
