We are often asked “how can I take part and benefit from your Destination Marketing activities if I’m not an ERBID statutory levy payer?”
You may not be aware, but in return for an annual Voluntary Contribution, your business can automatically receive many of the rights, access and privileges that ERBID statutory levy payers have. These include a free full page on the English Riviera’s official tourism website www.englishriviera.co.uk worth £250+VAT a year, free use of the English Riviera Image Library, access to official consumer research, visitor trends and data, and to take part in national campaigns. The opportunities in partnership working are many.
Many businesses who are currently not ‘eligible’ ERBID businesses recognise that their business benefits from the English Riviera’s £550 million visitor economy as a result of the vast supply chain that supports the Tourism and Hospitality sector. For example you may have a website design company, a food supply company or provide professional services in the form of Accountancy, Solicitors, Commercial Estate Agents supporting English Riviera Tourism Businesses.
How your Voluntary Contribution is calculated:
-
If you are a tourism provider who has a rateable value below £3000, or no rateable value, you will pay £150 + VAT a year to become a Voluntary Contributor.
-
If you do have a rateable value of £3000 or above you will pay the equivalent to 1.95% + VAT of your rateable value (or a minimum of £150 + VAT a year, whichever is the higher) to become a Voluntary Contributor.
If you are interested in becoming a Voluntary Contributor please contact Carolyn Custerson, carolyn@englishrivierabid.co.uk, our Chief Executive, to find out more about how we can work more closely together.
