Part of the ERBID2 Business Plan is to continue to support the development of the Cultural Tourism offer across the English Riviera. Torquay has the unique selling point of being the birthplace of Agatha Christie, the best-selling novelist of all time. She is famous particularly for her detective novels and as the creator of the world’s longest-running play The Mousetrap. Agatha Christie’s legacy draws enthusiasts from all over the world to the English Riviera, who want to follow in her footsteps and explore her strong connections with the area.
ERBID have produced a new ‘Agatha Christie Mile… and More’ walking trail. This is an A2-sized, double-sided, full-colour map and self-guided trail. It highlights 14 locations relevant to her time in Torquay, including the Agatha Christie blue plaques, and will be expanded to include sites of special interest throughout the English Riviera.
If you would like a supply to display at your own business please contact the ERBID Team on 01803 211211 or email enquiries@englishrivierabid.co.uk and we will arrange a delivery.
