Group travel organisers were wowed by the incredible choices that the English Riviera has to offer, when they visited the British Tourism and Travel Show 2023 in March.  The two-day event at Birmingham's NEC was well-attended by representatives across the group travel sector including coach operators, tour operators, travel services and travel media representatives.

With group travel organisers looking ahead to next year and to new opportunities, the exhibition was the perfect opportunity for ERBID to represent the English Riviera, letting attendees know about the outstanding accommodation, attractions, eateries and experiences that our area offers to groups.

Carolyn Custerson (ERBID CEO) and Alison Bayliss (ERBID Communications) were proud to fly the flag from a dedicated English Riviera stand, within a larger Devon exhibition area, in partnership with DATA (Devon Assocation of Tourism Attractions).  Anne Blackman, Marketing Manager of DATA, said, "There was some great team spirit and team work going on and we all did Devon proud and made a big impact. This coupled with our friendly approachable team, was a winning combination."

Fellow DATA members flying the English Riviera flag were representatives of the TLH Group and Visit South Devon.  Also exhibiting were Providence Hospitality and RBH Hospitality Management, ensuring that the English Riviera  had a strong presence at the show.

The show annually attracts over 2,600 attendees – including some of the UK and Ireland’s biggest domestic tour operators, coach operators, travel organisers and agents across the country.
